Winter fete draws the local community to Ninth Ave Llandilo

Dodgem cars, a giant slide, a small ferris wheel and other colourful activities landed in Llandilo in late July at a community fete. The event was organised by St Mary and St Marina Coptic Orthodox Church to draw together the church community and local residents.

Over 1500 people came to the fete, enjoyed the diverse culinary options and craft activities. One of the organisers said “Saint Marina Open Day is a great day for the community and the locals in the area. People come in with their children to enjoy the rides and face painting. Parents have tea, coffee and some sweets while getting to know one another. It is also a holy day as we celebrate the feast of Saint Marina.”
